AFL/CLC Winter School: Applications Are Open for 2026!

The Alberta Federation of Labour and the Canadian Labour Congress are putting on their annual Winter School, and we want to know if you would like to attend!

The Winter School is a great opportunity to share knowledge and connect with labour activists from across Alberta, strengthening our skills and our movement. The AFL and CLC have been running the school for over seven decades, energizing and educating its participants with the skills we need to build better workplaces and a better world!

Your union will be sending delegates to Winter School, which is set to take place at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge from January 11-16, 2026. Those delegates will have the opportunity to choose from five dynamic courses and enjoy opportunities to network through a range of social activities.

You can click here for more information about Winter School 2026. If you’d like to look over the course brochure, follow this link.

Local 401 members who have attended the Winter School in the past have commented on how valuable the opportunity has been, how much they have learned, and the ways they have been able to take that information and use it to empower their workplaces.
