Angiline Parafina – Scholarship

Every year, UFCW 401 is proud to offer several scholarships to members and/or their family members. The latest family member to win the Grant Notley Memorial Scholarship is Angiline. Her husband is a member from Olymel in Red Deer and her submission for the award garnered her $1000 to help with her out with her post-secondary costs.

She is currently pursuing her management certificate at Red Deer College with plans to operate her own business some day.

When she’s not immersed in her studies, Angiline loves to volunteer. She keeps busy with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, and several fun runs to raise money for worthy causes.

She moved to Canada in 2011 and works as an assistant manager in town when she’s not in school. In addition to all of this, she also has 3 children, and we tip our hat to her, because she certainly has her hands full!
