Our latest member to enter the fabulous world of retirement is none other than former 401 Shop Steward David Redden.
“I greatly appreciate working with and being part of our union, Local 401,” he said.
David worked at the Wapasu Main camp for 8.5 years in Housekeeping. While there he provided a wealth of knowledge to his co-workers and though he was no longer a Steward, he served on the Joint Union Safety Committee for his workplace.
He plans on spending time with his family and getting reacquainted with his lovely wife after all these years working so far away from home.
In his spare time he will be catching up on his woodworking and making his own rums and liqueurs! We think it would be fun to visit him and help him with quality assurance for his distilling endeavours. What do you think, David?
We wish you well and congratulations on your well-earned retirement, David!
David (C) is presented his retirement ring by Union Rep Clayton (L) and Walking Steward Matt (R)
