Keith Barber – Retirement

West Coast Reduction Ltd. may be losing a 37 year worker, and UFCW a valued long-term member, but the wonderful world of retirees is gaining another!

Keith plans to spend more time with his hands in the earth in his garden and hanging out with his grandsons.  Also, he will be doing more volunteer work within his community and hopes to get involved in local youth groups again.  A handyman in his spare time, which he will have more of now, he is also looking forward to doing more yard maintenance services for elderly homeowners who need help to remain in their homes and maintain their independence.  And he’s going to need to be fit for all this activity, so continuing with walking his dog 5 km every day is going to be key to keeping up his stamina for his busy recreational plans.

Traveling to Hawaii for the winter months is also on the horizon and we could not be more happy, if not just a teensy bit envious of his future warm winters.  With all his plans, we think this is a the perfect reward for all his community involvement.

Congratulations, Keith.  All the best in your long and happy retirement.
