After working at Safeway for 30 years arranging beautiful flower bouquets in the floral department, Lori has some plans for herself that includes things she normally couldn’t do because of her job.
“Her co-workers tell me that she can finally go out for lunch or dinner every Mother’s Day now,” Union Rep Catherine shares. “Working in the floral department meant that Mother’s Day was a busy time and she had to work it every year!”
Lori is retiring next week she tells us that she will be doing a lot of travelling. In fact, she already has a trip booked to see her daughter in Prince Edward Island and she is excited for that. She also plans to keep busy with volunteering.
Lori, we are so thrilled to hear that you finally get to enjoy those busy holidays where flowers are on everyone’s minds. It’s long overdue and we send our warmest congratulations to you on your retirement.
