After a long and distinguished career at Central Alberta Co-op in the bakery, Rick is looking forward to taking time for himself for a change. In addition to his company duties at the store, he also served his coworkers by participating in contract talks as part of the union negotiating committee over the course of 20 years.
He plans to split his time between Alberta and BC where he will enjoy the fair Okanagan summers playing golf, fishing, taking walks, getting his hands in the soil, and relaxing. He also plans to head south for the winters and discover new and exciting places.
“I feel very glad I spent my entire career with Co-op and I’m glad to have been part of UFCW,” Rick tells us. “I’ve learned a lot from the union.”
We thank you for your service to your coworkers, Rick, and we wish you happy travels and a wonderful retirement with new adventures.
