Shaun Jacobsen – Scholarship

Our latest winner of the Grant Notley Memorial Scholarship is long time 401 member and activist Shaun Jacobsen.

Shaun is currently one year into his two year program at NAIT.  Working toward a diploma in Alternative Energy Technology, he’s looking forward to assisting Alberta in its transition away from non-renewable energy systems.

When asked about what he’s enjoyed most about the program, Shaun says that he’s been most impressed with the innovative and inspirational individuals who have made presentations to his class about cutting edge technologies being used right here in Alberta.

Having worked at Safeway for 26 years in both part-time and full-time positions, as well as being an active Steward for the last 20 years, Shaun is very much looking forward to starting his own consulting company focusing on lowering greenhouse gas emissions upon completion of his studies.
