ASP Incorporated: Negotiation Dates Set
October 17th, 2022, Calgary. Your union contract just expired, and we have set negotiations for a new Collective Agreement at ASP to begin very soon.
We have scheduled your union bargaining committee to meet with the company on the following dates:
November 3rd, 14th, 16th, and 17th
The ASP membership has provided important feedback about the issues that matter through the online survey process. Therefore, we will present the company with a complete set of proposals on November 3rd. We had tremendous interest in terms of participation on the bargaining committee, and the following members have been selected from across the different departments:
- Gurmeet Garcha
- Mehboob Raza
- Gurbakshish Gill
- Kamalo Suleiman
- Patrick Lester
- Malcolm Froud
Your union bargaining committee will meet at the union office (46 Hopewell Way NE, Calgary) on November 2nd at 9:00 am, then meet virtually with the company to exchange bargaining proposals on November 3rd.
Collective bargaining will be open and transparent, and all members will be welcome to observe the process.
Negotiations are more successful when the process we follow is inclusive. By providing members with regular and comprehensive updates, we can speak with a solid and unified voice and accomplish more relevant wins.
This practice is called “open bargaining” and ensures we all participate at the bargaining table together!
You are welcome to sit at the bargaining table with your bargaining committee virtually. In open bargaining, members are encouraged to attend meetings to see how negotiations are going firsthand and demonstrate their solidarity.
