The company did not table any proposals!
Worse, after a whole day of bargaining, Bayshore only agreed to ONE of our proposals: a simple housekeeping proposal to review and amend current typos, ambiguities, gender references, misnomers, etc.
Furthermore, when your Bargaining Committee asked Bayshore for its next available bargaining dates, all they would provide were January 17th, March 20th, and April 24th.
This terrible start by Bayshore is not even close to good enough, and these kinds of stalling tactics are not acceptable!
We have heard some concerns about how long bargaining takes and the level of information being provided. Your Bargaining Committee wants to assure you that you will be included and informed throughout this process.
UFCW Local 401 practices Open Bargaining, which means you are entitled to know what is always happening at the table.
For these reasons and our continued commitment to you, we want to keep you involved in everything that happens with Bayshore bargaining, including giving all Bayshore UFCW members the option to attend and observe every bargaining session going forward.
You can learn more about Open Bargaining here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCvohTdIGgQ
The next bargaining session is scheduled for January 17th, and we will be in touch before that date with information on how to join in person or virtually.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
Your Bargaining Committee,
Perlita, Shannon, Emma, and Claire
