Civeo Tries to Delay

If you have been at site, you would have seen Civeo trying to rebrand themselves at Wapasu. Why are they doing this? The answer is simple, they want to fire all the Buffalo Catering members and replace you with cheaper labour.

We would like to thank everyone who has taken photos and reported on Civeo’s shameful actions. We have submitted all the information to the Labour Relations Board.

Another part of their corporate “shell game” has been to hire multiple lawyers from multiple law firms. Not surprisingly, these law firms are now engaging in delay tactics at the Labour Relations Board. We have written to the Board to request a case management meeting to address these tactics.

“Civeo’s continued attempt to wrongfully terminate the contract of Wapasu workers is shameful,” says UFCW Local 401 Executive Director, Chris O’Halloran. “Instead of spending millions in an attempt to rebrand, here’s a novel idea, use that money to honour the contract that Civeo extended by a year!”
