Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company on May 7th and 8th. Your co-worker Adebowale Fekoya (Debo) has been working very hard to ensure that you have an improved collective agreement.
We’ve completed all the non-monetary items and are now addressing monetary proposals. Your Bargaining Committee successfully fended off all the Company’s attempts to get concessions from the Union.
So far, we have been able to secure another general holiday for you: the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is marked on September 30th, commemorating the tragic and painful history and ongoing impact of Canada’s residential school system.

We have secured stronger Union representation in your workplace! This kind of representation is crucial for ensuring that any collective agreement we reach is actually observed by the Employer.
We’ve also gained an improvement to Article 20.4. The Company will provide transportation to employees when working with clients, as needed.
Our next bargaining dates are July 10th and 11th, as we continue to meet in person with Company officials. Stay tuned for more updates from your Bargaining Committee.
