IHAC Bargaining Update: A Productive Start

Last week your bargaining committee met with company officials to work towards a new and improved collective agreement.

We were able to agree on several language improvements, including:

• How Union dues are collected,
• Additional Union Steward language aimed at protecting you during disciplinary meetings,
• The addition of step-parent, stepbrother and stepchild language being added to family members recognized when talking about bereavement

We have yet to discuss Monetary items, but we have made good progress during the first two days of bargaining. Please be sure to thank your committee members when you see them! We will keep you informed as bargaining continues.
