Maple Leaf Update: Open Bargaining Begins!
We are ready for Negotiations next week!
Thank you to everyone who attended one of the proposal meetings, called, texted, emailed or shared their wants and needs with us. You are a fantastic group that has been through a lot over the last few years.
UFCW Local 401 believes in an open and transparent process at negotiations. Transparency is why we conduct open bargaining (See video: All About Unions: What is Open Bargaining and Rotating Negotiations Teams); any member is welcome to come and attend.
All we ask is that you let us know you’re coming so we can make sure we have seating.
We will be at the Four Points Sheraton all week, located at 7230 Argyll Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T6C 4A6, come and see us!
We will start bargaining with the Maple Leaf on Wednesday, October 4th. Once we exchange proposals with the company, we will email a copy of the Union and Company proposals to the membership for your review.
We are happy to now be able to share the names of your bargaining committee with you.
