Operating Engineers Office
(three separate Collective Agreements – Local 955, Health & Welfare Trust, and Training Centre)

Operating Engineers and the union are currently in mediation. Our members at O.E. are predominantly office and support staff with a variety of skills and responsibilities, which include administration of a number of trust and pension funds for O.E. union members.

We have had a number of negotiation dates over the past 18 months and has been a particularly difficult set off negotiations and both sides have worked hard to finalize a deal. We are very close to having an offer for employees to vote upon and we are hopeful to have something over the next few days.
