The membership has voted:
In favour of accepting the terms of the tentative agreement.
This afternoon, the members at West Coast Reduction in Edmonton voted 82% in favour of accepting the terms of a tentative agreement.
Here are some highlights of the tentative agreement:
“It’s hard to be fully satisfied with any bargaining outcomes given the challenges of the affordability crisis,” says President Thomas Hesse of UFCW Local 401. “But it’s good to see that the members at West Coast Reduction feel their needs are being met in light of the outcome of this vote. When workers come together we can make incremental and meaningful progress.”
A special thank you to the bargaining committee, staff and admin who put in the hard work to achieve this result. And thank you to everyone who participated in the voting process.
In solidarity,
Your UFCW Local 401 Union Negotiating Committee,
