PRIDE PARADE
CALGARY

The Calgary Pride Parade is almost here! Get ready to come down and represent UFCW Local 401 as we proudly wave the rainbow colours!
We will be located on 9th Ave SE just at the end of Fort Calgary, right before the Inglewood Bridge, on Sunday morning. If you’re volunteering to help with set-up, please arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. The parade starts at 11:00 am.
We have 2 contests going for members:
- The member with the most family and friends with them walking in the parade will get a $50 VISA or MC Gift Card
- The unit with the most members walking in the parade will get a pizza party.
Click here to see our placement for the staging of the parade. Note that it’s not indicative of where in the actual parade we’ll be walking, as there will be spacing between floats and non-float groups.
Click here to see the Pride manual, which also shows the parade route. It is recommended to park closer to the end of the route (near Prince’s Island Park) and take the C-train as close as possible to Fort Calgary and walk over from there. This way when the parade is down you are closer to wherever your vehicle is.
We will have coffee, muffins and donuts in the morning for everyone to enjoy and water for everyone as well. It is supposed to be a hot day, so please be prepared.
