Celebrating the Lunar New Year!

UFCW Local 401 members and their friends and families will join over two million Canadians from coast to coast in celebrating this Lunar New Year. It’s a time to join friends and family in fun-filled activities to mark the beginning of the Year of the Snake — the year 4,722 on the lunar calendar — on January 29th.

Your Union welcomes this opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural heritage this event carries forward, and to pay tribute to the diversity of our communities and our country.

The Snake is an especially powerful symbol of the kind of transformation and renewal we’re all trying to bring to our labour movement in facing the challenges of the year to come. In that spirit of joy and solidarity, we’re proud to wish a happy and prosperous year to all members and their families who are celebrating!
