Labour Day across the country is celebrated in many ways. Here in Alberta, one of the ways we celebrate is with local free community BBQs put on in several different cities and towns. If you’re near any of these, it’s a great way spend an afternoon with your friends and assorted loved ones.
These annual community BBQs are put on by local labour councils in order to shine a light on the need to rid our communities of unemployment and underemployment and effectively tackle issues and systematic failings that create poverty.
We would love to see you at any one of these events taking place around the province on the 3rd.
