The beloved Jewish holiday of Passover (or Pesach) comes to a close around the world with a final two days that commemorate the climactic story of the Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt — Moses and the splitting of the Red Sea — and a redemptive faith in the coming of the Messiah. For many Jews, the eighth day involves the recitation of the Yizkor (a prayer for departed relatives) and a Feast of Moshiach that mirrors the seders held on the holiday’s opening days. (In Israel, these traditions are observed on the seventh day.)
As this year’s Passover comes to a close, UFCW Local 401 is proud to once again wish joy and blessings to members and their families, friends and loved ones observing the holiday.
