Hey, Fort McMurray – We’ve Moved!
Sometimes change can be scary. Sometimes, however, it can be very exciting and bring new opportunities. Such is the case for our brand-new digs in Fort McMurray. On July 1st we moved out of our old space and into our new union office in Gregoire Heights.
We are getting all settled in and looking forward to greeting members at our new space. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are asking people to please call before you come over to ensure that we’re not finding too many people gathering at once. Further, our hard-working Union Labour Relations Officer in the north, Clayton Herriot, is often out of the office visiting members in the camps and stores in town. It’s a one-person office so it is important that you call ahead to make sure he’s there.
“I’m getting things slowly organized and looking forward to seeing members in our new office, but I don’t want to miss anyone so a call beforehand is always good,” Clayton said.
An added bonus is that our new office is more cost efficient and serves all our needs. We have meeting space available as well and looking forward to many productive years here. You’ll find us located in the International Union of Operating Engineers building at:
