Join Us for Labour Day!

One of our favourite times of year, of course, is the Labour Day long weekend.  Labour Day is a time for workers to enjoy their last long weekend of the summer with their friends and family and consider all the contributions they and their unions have made.  Workers and their unions have contributed to raising standards for all working families, not just themselves, and this is something to be very, very proud of.

As UFCW Canada points out, “over the past century unions have played a leading role in closing the income gap between society’s richest and poorest citizens, and we have also been successful in countering workplace discrimination and pay inequity. Good union jobs continue to be the backbone of our middle class, and the stable incomes they provide support strong families and vibrant communities.”

In keeping with the good community work of unions and their members, local labour councils are once again serving up delicious food and drinks for all who attend at absolutely NO CHARGE.  It really is a lot of fun for the whole family, and in addition to the great food and conversation with your neighbours in your community there are fun activities as well.

Please come and join us!  Here is a list of some of these fun and free events for you so that you can decide which one you want to attend:
