Local 401’s Calgary Office Construction Begins to Take Shape

Since we broke ground on what will be UFCW 401’s new union office, anticipation and excitement is mounting.

We envision this office to be a hub for union activity in the Calgary area and also look forward to our members’ union dues going toward paying for a building that a collective asset to eventually own, rather than a costly expense by leasing.  Having this equity will be a big advantage to all our nearly 30,000 members in case they find themselves in a large battle with their employer too!

Barring any unforeseen delays, we’re hopeful that the project will be completed by next fall and we will continue to update our members on its progress.
