Organizing for Worker Rights: Our Next General Membership Meeting!
Union rights and union organizing are more important than ever. But big, highly profitable corporations are using non-unionized workplaces to drag down wages and living standards for everyone.
From the No Frills Loblaws brand to Sobeys non-unionized locations to non-union meatpacking plants, workers are forced to settle for less than they deserve when they don’t have a union… and that makes it more difficult for unionized workers to get good outcomes in collective bargaining.
It’s an urgent problem for everyone as we confront a hardened affordability crisis. Workers want and need to be unionized now more than ever to achieve better wages and benefits and to fight for respect and rights in the workplace.
That’s what makes Union organizing work so important. Your union is growing, and we’re going to invite some of the people who are making that happen to talk to you about it and explain how you can help.
