We’re getting ready to make life more affordable by bargaining strong together, and we want you to join us!
Everyone is struggling with the affordability crisis right now. Skyrocketing costs on gas, groceries, utilities, and rent are making it difficult to pay your bills whether you work in a grocery store, a meatpacking plant, a warehouse, a casino, or anywhere else!
At the same time, many companies are making record profits. It’s time they did their part to Stop the Squeeze by sharing that success with you! That’s what our Ready, Set, Go! Bargaining Conference is all about.

Your employer won’t share their profits out of the kindness of their heart. We’re going to have to stand together and force them to give you the wage increases and benefits improvements you need.
The deadline to apply to attend the Conference is Friday, September 6, 2024.
Your union is preparing for the most aggressive negotiations we have ever run, and we need your help. When our members stand strong together through their union, we can win the gains at the bargaining table you need.
In 2023, we won thousands of Safeway members the largest wage increases they had seen in decades. We can do that for all of our members if we show your employer that we mean business by backing our bargaining committees as they head into negotiations to fight for the increases you deserve.
Note: not everyone who applies to attend the Conference will necessarily be selected.
We want to ensure that the appropriate diversity of our members attend the Conference. The selection process will work to create that diversity with a focus on:
- members who will be entering bargaining in the coming years,
- a mix of newer and more experienced members,
- members from different regions of the province,
- members from different industries,
- other related factors.
