Right now, staff at Bayshore Home Health are much like Albertans in any other job, fighting to make ends meet during an affordability crisis.
They also have to deal with out-of-pocket travel and supply costs, poor working conditions, understaffing, shoddy scheduling and unreasonable time pressures.
United Food and Commercial Workers Local 401 is fighting for these workers’ rights, and calling on both the company and our province’s government to do right by them.
“The staff at Bayshore Home Health are doing noble and necessary work for seniors in their community,” noted President Thomas Hesse of UFCW Local 401. “They are devoted to that work and the health of their clients. Their employer should share that concern.”
