UFCW 401’s First Edmonton Open House BBQ was a Blast!

On August 20^th, 401 hosted its very first Open House BBQ and people of all ages who attended enjoyed great company along with yummy food and festivities. The rain stayed away and the sun even made an appearance, making the outdoor event pretty awesome for everyone.

Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. we had many interested and happy people turn out and we couldn’t have been happier they chose to spend part of their day with us.

President O’Halloran was also on hand at the grill serving up a variety of delectable summertime favourites for all tastes and dietary requirements. Snacks and beverages were also in abundance. Let’s just say no one left hungry and there were leftovers for all who popped in to the office the following week for a visit!

There was face painting, games, treats of all sorts, loads of great conversation between members and staff alike, sidewalk chalk art work, and even a carwash hosted by 401’s very own staff and Executive Board! For just $5, attendees could have their car brought to a sparkling shine and all proceeds went to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
