Calgary – UFCW Local 401 recently connected with the Calgary Food Bank to learn more about the organization and how it helps our local community in times of need.
The Calgary Food Bank was established in 1982 and is a not-for-profit charitable organization that works to distribute emergency food to Calgarians.
On June 27th, 2016, Calgary union staff and Executives took a tour of the Food Bank and participated in a group volunteer session to learn more about the work of this important community organization.
The Calgary Food Bank relies on donations from the community to do its work. Are you interested in becoming involved with the Calgary Food Bank? You can find the Calgary Food Bank’s food donation wishlist on their website here and learn more about upcoming volunteer opportunities here. Thank you to the Calgary Food Bank.
