Workers at BREL Have the Halloween Spirit

401 Members at Beaver River Executive Lodge recently participated in a pumpkin carving contest in celebration of Halloween this year.  Members were supplied with a pumpkin and the carving tools.  The only instruction was; “let their creativity shine.”  Walking Steward Juanita O’Reilly arranged the contest and was thrilled with both the participation and the results.

“Everyone was enthusiastic about the contest. Even the members who did not enter a carved pumpkin were excited to vote for their favourite design” O’Reilly said.  “We have some very talented members here so it was very hard to pick a winner” she concluded.

The winning pumpkin, which looked like a hamburger with a side of fries, was carved by Melani Pineda and Reden Urmatan.  Congratulations to all who participated and especially to the victors Melani and Reden!  What a great way to break up the day and have some fun at work.

A big thank you also to Juanita who arranged the contest and provided everything needed to ensure a good time was had by all.
