YOU ARE THE STRENGTH OF THE LABOUR MOVEMENT!

Hello, Maple Leaf brothers and sisters!

Despite all of the obstacles, you have endured, firm in your choice to build a reliable and secure union at Maple Leaf in Edmonton.

And with last week’s vote done, you are even closer to having UFCW Local 401 become your union at Maple Leaf in Edmonton. We’re sure that you have won the change that so many of you have been needing.

But… ‘Due process’ is the Turtle in the story of the Turtle and the Hare. But, if you want to succeed, then Turtle’s strategy IS the best.

As is usual in these situations, the Alberta Labour Board has sealed the ballot box until they can sort through the legal complaints that have come up during the process.

We have been pushing hard all week to speed up this process, but unfortunately, it will take time. After the Labour Board are done looking at the complaints, they will count the ballots.

UNITY EVERY DAY! We only have a powerful union when we are all the union!

Continue to come together, discard any prior differences, and show Maple Leaf management that you are united. And as you do so, if you have any questions, please contact me directly.
