You Don’t Have to Accept Aramark’s Crappy Wage Offer

We have seen Aramark try this tactic of undercutting workers’ wages and benefits before.

They tried this with the Christian Labour Association of Canada (CLAC) at the Nexen Long Lake site, and we stopped them. We can do the same thing here.  Click here to see that legal decision.

Step One

The First thing we need you to do is, apply for a job at Aramark

Aramark cannot discriminate against you for your past or present union membership or need to fight for fair union representation. If they do, they are demonstrating Anti-Union Animus. And that is illegal.

Make sure to keep a record of your applications.

Step Two

Once you have applied, check your text messages, and sign a UFCW Local 401 Unionization Card for “Aramark Remote Work Services.”

We plan to apply to represent the workers at Wapasu after Aramark takes over. Once officially recognized as the Union representing Aramark workers at Wapasu, we can negotiate fair wages and benefits and be in a legal strike position if they are unwilling to provide fair compensation.

Right now, we are answering questions at the Wapasu Toolbox about this, and you should have received a phone call to join our Telephone Town Hall to get your question answered.
