Areej Mahmood – Scholarship

One of our successful winners of the Grant Notley Memorial Scholarship is Aareej. She is the daughter of one of our amazing UFCW 401 members and is attending the University of Calgary.

Areej is a first year student studying Law and Society in the Bachelor of Arts program. She hopes to get a job either in court or as a border security CBSA officer once she graduates.

“When receiving the Grant Notley Memorial Scholarship letter in the mail, I was very surprised and happy that I got selected,” she tells us. “My parents really want me to succeed in life and I thank you, UFCW, for giving my this scholarship – I really appreciate it!”
