Ayah Altalhouni – Scholarship

We are so pleased to congratulate Ayah on winning one of two $2500 Robert McWilliams Memorial Scholarships available to UFCW 401 members and their families.

Attending the University of Alberta, Ayah is pursuing her Elementary Education Degree. She has a passion for literature and writing, and is excited to help shape young minds in organization and content creation.

“I also want to become an accomplished historical fiction author writing about my Arabian roots, which I’ve noticed there is a lack of in the historical fiction genre,” she tells us.

We have absolutely no doubt that Ayah, a self-professed bookworm, will pass on her love of literature and exploration of the world through written word to her students. Congratulations, Ayah! All the best to you in your future endeavours.
