Brittany Mak – Scholarship

Brittany is one of the 2 winners for this year’s Robert McWilliams Memorial Scholarship and we are very excited for her future career plans.

No stranger to social justice activism, having walked a picket line in 2018 in Kamloops when they were forced out on strike by Gateway Casinos, and taking part in Calgary’s Pride parade in 2019, Brittany plans to get her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees. She also plans to minor in Mandarin Chinese!

When asked what her future holds, she tells us she plans to teach music to high school students when she’s graduated.
