Dave Thomas – Retirement

After an impressive 40 years at Safeway working as a Produce and Grocery Clerk, in the Front End, and as a 2nd Assistant Manager, Dave is thrilled to be entering a well-earned retirement.

Dave served his union family very well over the years, including being a picket captain during the 75 day Safeway strike in 1997.

Now that he will be able to slow down the pace a bit, he tells us that he has plans to travel and spend time with his 5 grand kids and family. He also enjoys helping others plan their own getaways and does some travel agent work. Fishing is also on his radar!

Dave, thank you for your service to your community and your coworkers. You will be missed and we congratulate you on your much deserved retirement.
