Over the three days, the superstore negotiating committee negotiated three letters of understanding:

  • COVID-19 employee hours and movement
  • Downsizing departments during COVID-19
  • Separating GM Departments

“The COVID-19 letters of understanding are short term agreements that will help to facilitate smoother employee scheduling, call-ins, and movement between department during the COVID-19 Crisis,” stated Chris O’Halloran. “The negotiating committee felt this was important to make these changes for COVID-19.”

“I’ve done bargaining before, and I found the company was much more approachable, and we were able to work with them,” said Loreen. “There was some give and take that I’d never seen before, so I’m hopeful.”
