BRING LIGHT TO THE DARKNESS OF BLOOD CANCERS

Calgary, AB – September 10, 2019. Blood cancers are the 4th most diagnosed cancer in Canada, yet the survival rates are much lower than many other cancers. Every year, UFCW Local 401 members come together to take part in the annual Light the Night Walk, a powerful, emotional, and inspiring event.

The Light the Night Walk not only celebrates and honours cancer survivors; it serves as a memorial to those facing a loss, giving hope and healing to those fighting right now. These events bring us together, creating a bond across our union community and life-long connections among those passionate about worthy causes.

When we do Light the Night, we bring light to the darkness of blood cancers, taking steps towards cures every day. Join us this year as we Light the Night in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
