The following is an important announcement to UFCW Local 401 members who are members of the below health and dental benefit plans:
Health & Dental Benefit Plan Response to COVID-19

- UFCW Local 401 Dental Care Trust Fund
- Alberta Retail Meat Industry Dental Care Trust Fund
The Trustees of the above mentioned Trust Funds recognize the challenges being experienced by members and their families during this uncertain time. As a result, the Trustees have decided to assist members by providing benefit continuance to those who may struggle to meet the minimum required hours to maintain Plan eligibility.
If you were in benefit as of March 13, 2020, you will continue to be in benefit until June 30, 2020, regardless of number of hours worked for all Benefit Plans listed above.
The Trustees will continue to monitor the situation and provide you with further updates.
