Cecilia Torres – Scholarship

Working at FreshCo, UFCW 401 member Cecilia is one of the latest to win one of our many scholarships.

Studying at the University of Victoria, Cecilia is currently working toward a 2-year Diploma in Business Administration.

“As an international student, juggling studies and work is never easy, but I find it rewarding to have the chance to study abroad which adds value to my whole being, character, academic knowledge, and career prospects,” Cecilia tells us.

She is looking to become a licensed Financial Advisor and is excited to help people plan for, and achieve their life goals. She is also looking forward to becoming a permanent resident and making Canada her second home.

“Thanks to the people behind this organization for such a wonderful opportunity,” she says. “I not only feel proud, but I also feel blessed and grateful for this wonderful opportunity.”
