Throughout the bargaining process, your Union Bargaining Committee has worked hard to advance your issues, concerns, and demands with the Company. Our goal has always been to push the Employer to present the strongest possible offer, ensuring that members have the opportunity to review the proposal and have their voices heard.
While we were able to reach tentative agreements on several issues, we were unable to reach an agreement on an overall package. Your Bargaining Committee believes that the Company has not adequately addressed several key concerns raised by the membership.
On Thursday, October 15, 2026, the Company presented an offer that fell short of what we expected and was not comparable to other recent Agropur settlements. This left your Bargaining Committee disappointed and frustrated with the overall proposal.
The offer does include some improvements to your current collective agreement, including:
While some of these improvements represent meaningful gains, your Bargaining Committee strongly believes that the overall offer falls short of what members deserve. In particular, the proposal lacks sufficient progress in several major financial areas that members identified as priorities throughout the bargaining process.
In the interest of transparency, we are bringing the Company’s offer back so you can review it and make your voices heard.
Your Bargaining Committee believes there is still work to be done and that the Company can and must do better. We are recommending that members REJECT the current offer and send a clear, united message to the Company that it is time to get serious at the bargaining table. They need to present a fair and competitive offer that reflects the priorities, needs, and contributions of their workers.
Your voice matters. Together, we can send a strong message that this offer does not go far enough and that our members deserve better.
You can download a copy of the company’s offer of settlement here.
Please review the document thoroughly and direct any questions toward the members of your bargaining committee.

After an overwhelming mandate from the membership, your Bargaining Committee had further discussions with the Company about the current pension plan and what moving to a Company plan could look like.
As this is an important decision, we felt it was best that we bring this back to you to decide how we proceed. At the same time we conduct a vote on the contract offer, we will be asking you to vote on which pension plan you would like to focus on.
We have created a document that compares the two plans, and it can be downloaded HERE.
Please review this matter thoroughly, and stay tuned for further updates.
In solidarity,
Your Union
