Alsco Makes Final Offer to Members

UFCW 401 members at Alsco,

Further to our previous email, your Union Negotiating Committee has been meeting with the Employer over the last number of months and raised the issues that the membership indicated were important to them in an attempt to get these matters resolved.

After a number of rounds of bargaining, the Employer presented what they called a Final Offer.

While this offer does not resolve every issue raised by the membership, it does contain some significant improvements in several areas and includes new benefits that were not achieved in the previous round of collective bargaining.

Your Negotiating Committee believes that through your support and solidarity, we were able to push the Company to put their best possible financial offer on the table and this is why we are bringing it back to you for you to decide.

Highlights of this Offer

• 3-year term
• Hourly wage and commission increases over the life of the agreement.
  • 3% / 3% / 3% for Shuttle Drivers
  • 4% / 3.5% / 3.5% for Utility Drivers
  • 5% / 5% / 5% for increases to RSR Base Pay 
  • Increase from 7% to 7.5% for commissions.
• Increased paramedical coverage for massage and physiotherapy to $500.00
• Increased windshield/driving km rates
  • $0.18 cents per km for 2026
  • $0.19 cents per km for 2027
  • $0.20 cents per km for 2028
• Increased boot allowance
• Addition of customer renewal bonus structure
• Addition of two more stat holidays
• Increased employer pension contributions
• Increased overnight per diems
• Improved bereavement leave
• Improvements for Union Representation and Security
• Introduced new language on the duty to accommodate, Union representation, non-discrimination, and technological change.
