Union Proposals

Company Proposals

We are proud to welcome all Avenue Living Communities employees who work for this home rental company. Our newest members work in Maintenance Support, Maintenance Suite Turn, and Maintenance Work Order.

Your union bargaining committee’s focus for the first 4 days has been on non-monetary items like:

  • Grievance Procedure
  • Union recognition
  • Probation
  • SolusGuard
  • Seniority
  • Employee rights

Contract language has been agreed to on all these items, and we look forward to getting into more proposals in future meetings.

“We have met with the company and have made good progress so far,” said UFCW 401 Executive Director Chris O’Halloran. “When the focus shifts to money issues, we hope to continue making good progress.”

If you would like more information or have questions about any of the proposals, please contact Chris at: 587-999-6448, or cohalloran@ufcw401.ab.ca, or contact him on his Facebook page by searching: facebook/chrisohalloranufcw401. You can also contact your Union Rep Jason Parrell at: 403-463-1010 or by email at: jason.parrell@ufcw.ca

We will be back at the bargaining table December 5 – 8.

At UFCW Local 401, we believe in open bargaining. If you would like to learn more about open bargaining, please watch this video by clicking HERE
