Masterfeeds: We Have a New Offer to Vote On

UFCW 401 members at Masterfeeds in Red Deer,

As previously communicated, the Company tabled what they have referred to as their final offer at the last round of bargaining. Although this offer does not resolve every issue identified by the membership, it includes significant improvements in several key areas.

Your Bargaining Committee believes these improvements were made possible because of the strength, solidarity, and unwavering support demonstrated by the membership throughout this process. Together, we were able to push the Company to present its strongest financial offer.

For these reasons, your Bargaining Committee felt it was important to bring it back to you to get your input.

Some of the highlights of this offer include:

  • 4-year term.
  • 13.5% wage increases over the life of the agreement.
    • May 1, 2025 – 4.5%
    • May 1, 2026 – 3%
    • May 1, 2027 – 3%
    • May 1, 2028 – 3%
    • Full retro pay
  • Increased shift premiums
  • Increased life insurance
  • Increased dental premiums paid by the Company from 80% to 100%
  • Increased vision care coverage
  • Improved bereavement leave
  • Increased boot allowance
  • Introduced new language on artificial intelligence, duty to accommodate, Union representation, dignity and respect, and technological change.
