FreshCo

FreshCo Ltd. is owned by Sobeys, a Canadian grocery retailer that took over the Canada Safeway chain of stores in 2014.

Launched in 2010, Sobeys has been converting dozens of their Safeway and Sobeys stores to the FreshCo discount banner. They operate more than 120 stores across Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.

Our members work in recently converted FreshCo stores across Alberta. The first Alberta FreshCo stores opened in early 2021 and our members continue to provide the amazing service and expertise they always have under the Safeway banner.
